Artist Statement
My art is a reflection of my life’s journey, expressing my emotions and growth as an individual. Born into a world of faith as the son of a pastor, I was simultaneously entangled in the gritty underground of gang culture and crime. In my artwork, I uncover striking similarities between these seemingly disparate worlds.
I delve into the intriguing notion that gang members and Christians both possess unwavering belief systems, with their own unique codes of honor and unwritten rules. Having spent significant time in both church and prison, I masterfully blurs the boundaries of right and wrong, inviting viewers to question their own moral compass.
My art becomes a mesmerizing portal, offering glimpses into a world where choices are limited, and one’s environment shapes destinies. I presents an artistic odyssey that challenges societal norms and sparks conversations about the intricate complexities of human existence.
